Hi, my name's Slim Read, not 'Bleeding Gums Murphy', although my friends would say it's true that the resemblance is striking.

I'm a saxophone player and blues shouter who's spent most of his life as a session musician working in studios, jazz clubs (for very little money) and pit orchestras. But, for the last seven years or so I've been playing my blues and jazz sets in hotels, restaurants, cruise ships, cafe bars, night clubs and house parties.

I still do some sessions and a few  jazz/blues clubs here and there, just to remind myself of a previous life - but pit orchestras are most definitely out!

I'm available (at a price) for functions and house parties etc., so if you're looking for some live entertainment for the musically aware - look no further.
